VFW Post 3783 News:

See Paula Dumas the Jr. Vice Commander to volunteer

On Saturday, September 13th, Jennifer Hays was privileged to take part in the Jazzercize Dance for Life – Rockin’ the Midway event to raise money for Susan G, Komen.  There were approximately 1,000 people in the event.  Each of them paid $35 to dance, and were asked to get “pledges” from people to sponsor us.  Their goal was for each of us to raise $200.  Last year after Jennifer was diagnosed, she received almost $3,000 in grants from the VFW and the Ladies Auxiliary, the American Cancer Society and other organizations.  Her personal goal was to pay that money back so it would be available for the next person who needed it.  Through the generosity of her comrades, brothers and sisters in the VFW, Men’s Auxiliary,  Ladies Auxiliary and the Elk’s Lodge, jennifer was able to raise $2,580 – the most money collected by any of the participants! The event raised over $88,000!
